About Birchwood Property Management

Birchwood Property Management provides a wide variety of services for the maintenance, protection, and preservation of vacation homes, condominium associations, and resort properties, as well as administrative services for condos and resorts. We serve property owners throughout northwest Michigan, including Harbor Springs, Petoskey, Bay Harbor, Boyne City, Charlevoix, Walloon Lake, Crooked Lake, Good Hart, Cross Village, and Glen Arbor.

Birchwood Property Management was founded in 2005 as a division of Holiday Vacation Rentals. Founder and Managing Director Alan R. Hammond has served as a Director, Officer, and Treasurer of the Vacation Rental Managers Association (VRMA) and holds the Certificated Vacation Rental Manager (CVRM) designation. A recognized industry leader, Alan is featured in the book The Rental Game: Winning with a Professional Vacation Rental Team by Maureen Regan.

Prior to founding Holiday Vacation Rentals, Alan worked in the hotel industry providing advisory services to owners and was the Managing Director of the Coldwell Banker Commercial Hospitality Group, where he worked in the acquisition and disposition of hotel properties.

Holiday Vacation Rentals’ unparalleled experience and knowledge of association management practices, construction trades, grounds keeping, and business management provide high value to properties under our care. With over $100,000,000 in real estate assets under our management, we understand the importance of keeping up with industry news and staying on top of industry standards. Our team regularly attends conferences of the Vacation Rental Management Association (VRMA), of which Holiday Vacation Rentals is a proud member, and the Community Associations Institute (CAI).
