The Homestead Resort on the Betsie River
The Homestead Resort is a budget friendly, family and fishing resort on the Betsie River in Benzonia, Michigan. The National Coho Salmon fishing festival draws anglers from around the country during late summer and fall. In the spring, Morel mushroom hunting is popular. Float, canoe and kayak trips are available on the Betsie River and Platte Rivers.
The Homestead Resort has one and two bedroom efficiency cottages with overnight accommodations and weekly vacation rentals. Rental cottages are completely equipped. Cottages have kitchenette and bath with shower or tub. Each cottage sleeps 4. Amenities include, grills, free fax service, Wireless Internet access, DVD, AC, Cable TV, double and twin beds. Pet friendly cottage available. Firewood, Smores’ campfire kits, and charcoal can be purchased. The resort has been recently upgraded and ideal for an annual family gathering while visiting scenic Benzie County and the Crystal Lake area. Rustic tent camping sites are available with private frontage overlooking the River.
